Neta Kligler-Vilenchik Neta Kligler-Vilenchik received her Ph.D. in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California, and is beginning a position as Assistant Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Fall 2015. Her research interests focus on youth civic and political engagement in the context of the new media environment. Her dissertation examined several case studies of innovative groups linking participatory culture with participatory politics, as cases of "alternative citizenship." Neta has published in journals such as New Media & Society, International Journal of Communication, Computers in Human Behavior, European Journal of Communication, and more, and is a co-author on the forthcoming book "By Any Media Necessary: The New Activism of Youth Online" with Henry Jenkins et al. Neta holds an M.A. in Communication from the University of Haifa, Israel, and a B.A. in Communication and Political Science from Tel Aviv University, Israel (both Summa Cum Laude).
